Acupuncture is a holistic technique that stems from traditional Chinese medicine practice based on the practice that a blockage or disturbance in the flow of the body’s life energy, or “Qi”, can cause health issues.
Thin needles are inserted to specific points on the body to stimulate balance to the energy system by stimulating the endorphins.
Acupuncture calms the body’s nervous system and releases chemicals to regulate blood flow and pressure, reduce inflammation; so can regulate physical problems, managing some types of pain. It is a useful alternative for people who don’t respond to pain medication or who prefer not to use it.
You will receive a full consultation before the treatment, if needed other items can be introduced with your treatment, such as cupping and electrical needles for extra stimulation.
